RUST | New HIDDEN LOOT Base Design! | Building 3.0
Before anyone asks, the 3 turrets that are optional cost: 120 high quality metal, 3 CCTV cameras, and 3 targeting computers. The 3 optional shotgun traps cost: 6 gears, 6 rope, 750 metal fragments, and 1,500 wood. Feel free to add them as you get the blueprints!
This is a pretty neat duo base design for under 50,000 stone! While it isn’t super fortified, this base is meant to conceal loot in hidden small boxes, due to the new half-wall system! (Of course, still expand if you feel it is needed.)

I’m Building A Jointer! – Bearing Studs And Design Details
Installing the 1/4″ threaded rod studs that will bolt the bearing blocks in place and a detailed look at the design as it is so far.
The outfeed table will be more or less fixed in place, but can be adjusted if needed. The infeed will move up and down via an inclined plane driven by a hand wheel on the side of the jointer.
The inclined plane mechanism is similar to the one in my precision router lift:

TEDxRideauCanal – Liam O’Brien – Occupant-Concious Building Design
Liam O’Brien, PhD, is an assistant professor in Carleton University new Architectural Conservation and Sustainability program. Liam is researching design processes and energy simulation for high performance solar houses. For his PhD, he developed a design tool for solar houses that will enable efficient and highly-visual exploratory design of both passive and active solar systems. The tool is directly inspired by some of Liam’s experiences using simulation tools for consulting.
Liam is interested in studying energy use and production on all levels of society from building to communities and city-level. Specific research topics are on solar energy availability in urban areas and the impact of occupant behaviour on building performance. Liam aspires to use his skills to aggressively push the envelope towards more sustainable buildings and urban environments. He would like to use his research and models to influence designers, planners, and policy makers. His TEDxTalk illustrates how real world occupant behaviour can affect energy-efficient design in unexpected ways.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
