A walk-through of my Blackmagic Design Micro Cinema Camera Rig. I tried to keep the rig as compact as possible. A single battery keeps cables things simple and powers the system all day.

With this setup, I can record RAW in camera and Prores into the video assist monitor. I have easy clearance to grab the top handle when carrying it around. I’ve added a simple setup to attach and tilt the Video Assist Monitor, while also making a side handle available.

The Metabones speedbooster (focal reducer) allows for a wider view and faster glass. The Canon EF Mount Rokinon Cinema lenses are a bit larger, so the rig is mounted over a 15mm quick release baseplate to add height. The 15mm rails then allow for a follow focus or mattebox.
