Trade Unions Building Design: Ukrainians mock plans for reconstruction of central Kyiv building

Ukrainians on social media are having fun with a proposal design to replace the Trade Unions building in central Kyiv which was destroyed during the Euromaidan protests last year.

The proposed replacement is a large, futuristic building with a roof exhibit dedicated to those who lost their lives during Ukraine’s revolution last year.
Some on social media thought the proposal looked out of place with the architecture of central Kyiv.
Alternative suggestions included a large kiosk, a hat for mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, and even a Death Star.
